Wood Wick Candle Pour Workshop

Join Sweetwater Flower Market and Jenny from Moonchild Candle Company for a personalized candle-making experience. In this workshop, Jenny shares years of study and experience as she teaches the basics of crafting candles and equips you to make your own. Design your perfect candle in a scent you love. This workshop features wood wick candles. Wood wicks create the ambiance of a crackling fire as it fills the room with light, sound, and fragrance.

All materials will be provided to make your very own hand poured soy candle. Jenny specializes in hand poured, 100% soy wax candles, that are non-toxic. Each candle is infused with essential oils, and premium fragrance oil that is certified free of harmful chemicals, reproductive toxins, allergens or phthalates.

The price of registration includes everything you’ll need to make and take home a 13 oz wood wick candle, and knowledge about the process!

Please plan to leave your candle overnight to cure and pick up the following day.

Pumpkin Spice – Pumpkin Spice is a sophisticated fall fragrance with an invigorating spice flourish.Fragrant top notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel intermingle with the clove and black tea.Baked pumpkin makes up the heart of the fragrance, while vanilla and graham cracker base notes add acreamy, toasty character. Nashville- Nashville soy wax candle is a sensual and captivating scent. A masculine scent that begins withhints of orange, grapefruit, and an infusion of sage that enhance the natural earthy quality. Colorado Trail- Colorado Trail soy candle is a refined blend of botanical gin and aged woods. A junipertop note gives this light-bodied spirit its signature aroma. Winter Wonderland- Winter Wonderland is an enchanting blend to create an outdoor, wintery scentthat bottles a winter’s night chill with top notes of eucalyptus and lavender. Resinous pine is at the heartof this scent, and it rests on an herbal, woody base of rosemary, cedar, and oakmoss.

Cedar & Myrrh- Warm amber combines with damp cedarwood and fragrant myrrh for a scent that canonly be described as a freshly cut forest tree, with all the cozy warmth mixed in 

Apple Harvest- Apple Harvest soy candle is a true, ripe apple fragrance combined with bright fruit notesand a subtle touch of spice. A mix of Macintosh sweet and granny smith tart. It has year-round appealbut is especially nice around apple-picking time and the harvest season. Apple Harvest is scent youdidn’t know you needed but can’t live without in August and September.

Artist Bio: Jenny is the owner of Moonchild Candle Co. and specializes in making high-quality, naturally sourced, non-toxic, essential oil-infused, soy wax candles. After learning about all the toxins found in most commercially produced candles, she started on a her journey to make a better, certified clean burning candle.

Jenny continues to work full-time as a school administrator in D20 and has spent the past 20 years working in local Colorado Springs school districts. As an avid self-care junkie, Jenny believes that candles are an essential part of a robust self-care space.

Jenny hand pours her candles in the comfort of her home candle studio…as she tries to balance all the things.
