Market Basket Weaving Workshop

Join Sandi Moede and Sweetwater Flower Market in crafting a hand woven basket from start to finish. This market basket has a solid wood handle that measures 10×14”. The basket is woven around the handle and measures 16” long and 6” high. It is a super practical basket with all kinds of uses. NOTE, the photos show the basket color with a stain. The workshop will be crafting it with natural reeds. Sandi will provide tips for staining it if you would like to dye the basket a different color at a later time.
A complete basket can be made in a few hours (not sitting in a closet waiting to be finished!) and it will be something to be used and not just sit on a shelf collecting dust. And the joy and sense of accomplishment that YOU made this will make you smile!

Ticket cost: $90/person + tax and Eventbrite fee
*Note: No prior experience in basket weaving is necessary, however the basket does require focus. Class participation is for ages 18 and up.
*Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting damp are encouraged.
Instructor Bio:
Sandi Moede is a Colorado Springs native. Several years ago she took a basket weaving class like this one and knew that this would become a passion. She has made countless baskets and loves to share this ability with others. A complete basket can be made in a few hours (not sitting in a closet waiting to be finished!) and it will be something to be used and not just sit on a shelf collecting dust. And the joy and sense of accomplishment that YOU made this will make you smile!
