Woodland Park Wind Symphony at the Ent
September 29 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This is the 3rd year for the Woodland Park Wind Symphony’s concert in the Shockley-Zalabak performance theater. Under the direction of Craig Harms, this 65-piece Wind Symphony is made up of musicians from the Ute Pass and Pikes Peak areas.
The generosity of sponsors and a grant from the Ute Pass Saddle Club have made possible these ticket prices: General Admission – $10 (plus $2.75 service fee) per person; and FREE STUDENT tickets. The Wind Symphony and its sponsors’ goal is to provide this musical experience to a wide audience who can experience the sounds of music in the beautiful Shockley-Zalabak Theater.
Pre-concert music will be provided by the HighAltitooters, Flute choir.
Featured clarinet soloist is Karen Hoexter, performing the First Movement of the Clarinet Concerto by Philip Sparke. Other selections include Heroic Fanfare by Julie Giroux, Selections from Chicago and American Fanfare by Joseph Willcox Jenkins.
Members of the Woodland Park Wind Symphony include high school students from the area who are enjoying performing with this group and stretching their musical abilities and especially being able to perform in the Shockley-Zalabak theater.
