Botanical Watercolor Painting

Step into the wonderful world of watercolor by practicing and playing with techniques, then apply your knowledge to complete a vibrant 5×7” flower painting together as we look at real flowers. We will start with a step by step drawing of a sunflower, and you will also have the ability to trace it if you desire.

The supplies are included to complete the painting in the class, including the finest quality watercolor paints and paper. An 8×10 mat will complete the project. You may decide to have your pieces printed as cards on your own as well as display as your beautiful work of art!

No experience necessary. Lisa will walk you through the process step by step until you finish the design.

Instructor Bio: Lisa loves to share the joy and peace she experiences through art. Her degree in environmental policy, along with her art studies at the San Francisco Academy of Art, UC Davis and most currently, the Denver School of Botanical Art and Illustration has equipped her with the skills to create and teach in many mediums. She continues to make discoveries about the world by drawing and painting when traveling, hiking or enjoying her garden.
