September 12 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm$80.00
Take a step back from the craziness of life for a moment of serenity and simplicity. Join Sweetwater Flower Market and Jan Wolfe for a workshop that invites you into a story going back over 550 years of Japanese culture and Ikebana, the art of Japanese Flower Arranging. The workshop will explore the creation of a school (Sensho Ikenobo) that combines the basic teachings of Ikenobo and the spirit of Tea ceremonies. The Spirit of the Tea Ceremony includes these principles: Harmony, Respect, Purity, and Tranquility. Learn how these disciplines come together in a beautiful floral arrangement.
Learn the history and the basic principles while creating your own design.
This project is geared for beginners, no experience needed. Great class to discover this unique style of arranging and the simplicity of the art.
