Hammered Floral Art: Canvas Tote

Hammered Flower Art is an ancient Cherokee technique used to dye fabric or paper. Join us for a unique experience as you work with fresh floral to make an reusable bag reflecting the natural beauty of your favorite flowers. Bag is perfect for grocery runs, the farmers market, and shopping trips in Old Colorado city! Previous participants have expressed that the class is a great way to relieve stress and learn a fun technique to continue to try on your own.
Participants will choose from a variety of fresh blooms to use to practice this technique. You will arrange the flowers in a design and imprint them on a reusable canvas bag using a hammer and wax paper.

Instructor Bio: Abigail Leger’s love for beauty and creating started at a young age as her mother sewed, and planned community events for children and adults. She majored in Education and minored in Studio Art at Taylor University with training in watercolor, drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, acrylic, and cooking. Colorful things are her love language. One of her mottoes is “Everything is better when shared.”
