Garden of the Gods: Landscape Oil Painting

Bask in the beauty of two of Colorado Springs most famous attractions as you paint a landscape of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Stephen will focus on simplifying landscape paintings with basic shapes and atmospheric perspective (a visual effect that makes distant objects look hazy, bluish, and less detailed than nearby ones). He will teach how to mix the proper colors and values and map out the shapes in the image.

Recommended for 12 and older.

Instructor Bio: Stephen Early, from Art from Early, is an oil painter and pencil artist specializing in family portraiture, commissioned oil paintings, and illustrations. He believes art is for everyone and has a passion for sparking interest in painting and offering skills to every day people.

When most people think of fine art they think of giant paintings in immaculate frames roped off in beautiful upscale galleries.
