Gallantry and Camille Claudel: Into the Fire

Celebrate the Kickoff of Opera Theatre of the Rockies 25^th Anniversary Season with a double header of modern opera “Camille Claudel: Into the Fire” featuring superstar Jennifer DeDominici and “Gallantry” with the Opera Theatre Goes to School cast on Friday, January 20, 2023.

“Camille Claudel: Into the Fire” by Jake Heggie as first premiered in 2012, is perfect for Mezzo Soprano DeDominici with a string quartet from the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs: Keith Redpath, Daina Redpath, Joshua Head and Pam Chaddon. Inspired by the life and work of the French sculptor, experience the pathos and drama of Camille Claudel, partner and fellow artist of Rodin.

“Gallantry” by Douglas Moore highlights the vocals of Kacie Kenton, Jenna Clark, Ben Boskoff and Malcolm Ulbrich. A doctor, a nurse, a surgery full of hijinks…what could possibly go wrong as this cast of young artists tells a soap opera of epic proportions!
