March 27 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm$5.00
A beginners course to the fundamentals of composting particularly in an urban setting. In this class you will learn different ways to compost (both indoors and outdoors) and how to use it. We will also demonstrate starting a new compost bin using the “hot” method for a high volume, quick turn over product.
The speaker for this class is Colorado Master Gardener volunteer, Adrian Hixon. Adrian has worked landscape design and backyard gardening (both vegetables and ornamentals) for the last 10 years. She is currently working on companion planting and native landscape projects. Composting is at the heart of that background knowledge which she has been doing here in El Paso county for the last 9 years.
This class will be recorded and a link sent to you if you are unable to watch it live. An email will be sent to all registered participants 15-20 minutes before the event with a Zoom link to attend the class. The Zoom link will also be in your confirmation email after registering.
