Advanced Vegetable Gardening – IN PERSON

Growing vegetables in El Paso County, Colorado can be more challenging than in other climates, but that makes the rewards that much more sweet. Topics covered in this class will be partially determined by you! When you register, there is an opportunity to tell us what vegetable gardening challenges you want us to address.

The instructor for this class is Michele Ritchie. Michele is a Local Food Advocate, Food Preservation Expert, and Environmental Naturalist. She became a Master Gardener in 2013, specializing in teaching folks how to grow their own food. She was later hired by CSU Extension to work with farmers and to help facilitate the education of home food preservation. These days she is still passionate about teaching people how to grow, use, and find their own food; and about getting people outside to enjoy – and learn about – the natural world.
