Advanced Soils: Test Your Own Soil – In Person

During this workshop we will take a deeper dive into aspects of soil science and apply your new knowledge to your own soils. We will talk about soil properties and learn how to understand your soil survey results on the USDA soil survey data. We will also test samples that you bring from your yard to estimate the pH, nitrogen, and phosphorous levels in your soil. It is recommended that you bring a laptop or other device to this class and bring 1 cup of soil to test.

The instructor for this workshop is Allisa Linfield. Allisa is the Horticulture Program Coordinator for CSU Extension in El Paso County. She earned her MS in Horticulture from Colorado State University and her research focuses on growing media used in nursery container production of native plants.

Space is limited to 15 participants. Typically this class sells out. We will maintain a waitlist.
