DESCRIPTION:We are the Colorado Brewery Running Series™ and we run for beer!\nJoin us for the Veterans Day 5k at Goat Patch Brewing on November 12\, 2022\, for a 5k-ish\, fun run event that starts and ends at this awesome taproom in Colorado Springs. Run\, walk\, jog – whatever goes! Complete the course and celebrate with us and a FREE\, local craft brew at the finish line. \nStart windows will be available at10:00 AM & 10:30 AM. Each runner/walker will need to start during their 30-minute start wave window. Please do not arrive at check-in more than 30 minutes before your selected start time begins. \nWhat’s included:\n\nA FREE craft brew at the finish line\nYour choice of a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series\nYour chance to win sweet door prizes from the Colorado Brewery Running Series\, our event sponsors\, and the host brewery.\nAccess to event festivities: live music\, food trucks\, local vendors\, fun with our partners and sponsors\, goodies\, and giveaways\nAnd more!\n\n  \nOur mission is to be active\, have fun and give back to our local community. Since our inaugural Colorado event in 2016\, we have been able to donate over $75\,000 back to local Colorado non-profits (with over $250k raised to date nationwide). This event will add to that tally! 10% of all proceeds go directly to a local organization that will be onsite promoting their organization. So not only do you get to enjoy some healthy activity and great\, local beer – you are helping us support local organizations that do important work in our community. \n2022 marks our 10 year anniversary season nationwide! The Brewery Running Series started with one event in Minneapolis\, MN in 2012 – we now organize over 300 events per year\, across 20+ states and counting! \nImportant details:\n\nThis is an untimed\, fun run. All levels of walkers\, runners\, and joggers are welcome.\nThis is an open course\, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.\nWe create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows and volunteers to help you know where to go.\nYou must bring a valid ID or driver’s license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event\, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. Registered\, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage.\nOur events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run\, we will still hang out and drink beer.\nThere will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.\nDogs and strollers are welcome on the course\, with care and caution. Please remember – you are running at your own risk on city sidewalks/streets/trails\, which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and /or pint-size running buddies. You will also want to check with the brewery to make sure you can abide by their dog / underage policies. Please make the best decision possible for your crew.\nColorado Brewery Running Series merchandise\, including shirts\, hoodies\, hats\, stickers\, heat press brewery logos\, drinkware\, and seasonal items that will be available at the event.\nThere is public parking available. Is public transit an option for you? Check and see if there’s an accessible route nearby.\nPlease drink responsibly.
