DESCRIPTION:Learn how to visually manifest your dreams using creativity.\n\n\nAre you setting goals for 2024 and want a fresh way to look at them? Are you ready to make a vision board that actually helps you bring your dreams to fruition? \nIf you answered yes to either of these questions\, you may consider taking this Vision Board Workshop. \nIn this online event\, you will be guided through a short meditation and multiple prompts to help you get really clear on your goals for the next year and beyond. Then we’ll talk through ways to go about creating a vision board and other visual tools that fit your personality. Lastly\, we’ll discuss tactics to actually make these goals/dreams come true. \nYou’ll also get to share and talk with the other participants before and after the journaling experience. \nDuring our time together\, you’ll be working on your own vision board at home. You’ll need your own supplies: 5+ magazines\, scissors\, pen/pencil\, notebook paper\, glue sticks\, and blank paper (1 big sheet or 3 regular sheets). Please come ready with at least 3 loose goals/dreams for the year. \nTickets are limited to 7 people to keep the group small\, conversational\, and comfortable. \n \n\n\nAbout your Guide: \nEmma has dabbled in art and creative activities since she was young. DESCRIPTION:We will take a deep dive into common challenges that vegetable gardeners face in the home garden during this in-person workshop.\n\n\nGrowing vegetables in El Paso County\, Colorado can be more challenging than in other climates\, but that makes the rewards that much more sweet. Topics covered in this class will be partially determined by you! When you register\, there is an opportunity to tell us what vegetable gardening challenges you want us to address. \nThe instructor for this class is Michele Ritchie. Michele is a Local Food Advocate\, Food Preservation Expert\, and Environmental Naturalist.  She became a Master Gardener in 2013\, specializing in teaching folks how to grow their own food.  She was later hired by CSU Extension to work with farmers and to help facilitate the education of home food preservation. DESCRIPTION:Let’s get together and meet some new female friends. This group social hike is for women between the ages of 30’s and 40’s.\n\n\nLet’s get together and meet some new female friends. This group social hike is for women between the ages of 30’s and 40’s. \n*Please register so I know who to expect. Registration capped at 16 ladies to keep the group manageable.* \nWe’ll hike from the Salt Creek Trailhead in Eagle\, Colorado. You can get there by driving north from this parking lot. \nPlease arrive by 11:15 am – hike starts promptly at 11:20 am. Plan for 2 hours on the trail total. As always with hikes in Colorado\, you’ll want to bring winter boots\, regular hiking boots\, and maybe even some ice cleats. The trail has a very slight uphill most of the way\, but we will can stop and look at the scenery as much as we need! \nIf you can’t attend this one but want an invite to the next\, please subscribe to this event page\, or subscribe to my newsletter here! SUMMARY:Landscape Design with Native Plants - IN PERSON
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to incorporate native plants into your landscape during this workshop where you will work to create your own landscape design.\n\n\nAttendees will learn elements and principles of design\, how to do an analysis of your yard and how to start planning your outdoor space utilizing plants native to Colorado and other low water plants. Prior to attending the class attendees should review their landscape for areas of shade\, sunlight\, water flow\, and what direction the primary building faces. Attendees will spend part of the class working on their landscape framework with the assistance of master gardeners. \nThe instructors for this class are Priscilla Holland and Allisa Linfield. Priscilla has been a Colorado Master Gardener volunteer for a number of years and is passionate about creating beautiful landscapes with native plants. She has designed beautiful habitats within home landscapes for families and friends and is experienced in navigating responsible landscape choices from an HOA perspective. DESCRIPTION:Where does our water come from and how can we use it wisely? Find out during this free webinar.\n\n\nWater is a precious resource for Colorado’s households\, yards\, and gardens. In the semi-arid\, drought-prone climate of El Paso County how can we balance using the incredible water systems our forerunners built and sustaining water resources for future generations? Catherine will provide an overview of where our water comes from\, how communities are working to sustain and protect our water supplies\, and what individuals can do to use water wisely. She’ll also cover resources and programs residents can use to enhance their yards and sprinkler systems. \nCatherine has worked for Colorado Springs Utilities in the Water Conservation Group for the past fifteen years. She specializes in water wise landscaping and earned a M.S. in horticulture from the University of California at Davis plus a bachelor’s in biology from CU Boulder. She grew up in the Denver area. \nThis class will be recorded and a link sent to you if you are unable to watch it live.
