SUMMARY:Ladies Hike - Stag Gulch Trail (40's - 60's)
DESCRIPTION:Let’s get together and meet some new female friends. This group social hike is for women in the ages of 40’s to 60’s.\n\n\n\nAre you looking for an outlet to meet new people?\nHave you fallen into the habit of staying home because your friends are too busy\, focused on other things?\nAre you wondering how to make friends as an adult – outside of the workplace?\n\n \nIf so\, come along with us on our monthly Ladies hikes! Connect with ladies at the same stage of life as you AND start building a community of local friends. \nThese hikes are meant for meeting new people and helping you find friends to hang out with on a regular basis. \nWe always have a great time looking at the views\, taking photos\, chatting\, and laughing together. Every hike brings a mix of new people\, which makes it a really welcoming group to be in. \nThis group social hike is for women in the ages of 40’s 60’s. \n\n\nAbout this month’s hike: \nWe’ll hike from the Stag Gulch Trailhead in Edwards. \nPlease arrive to the trail by 9:40 am – hike starts promptly at 9:45 am. If you are carpooling\, you will need to arrive earlier to meet us at the location. Plan for 2 hours on the trail total. More details to follow in the confirmation email. \n\n\nIt can be a bit scary to put yourself out there in a new group of people. \nYou might be thinking the following: \nWhat if there’s nothing to talk about? We stop often to do ice breaker topics along the hike to give us good conversation starters! We switch up talking buddies along the way\, too\, so you have a chance to chat with many different ladies. \nWhat if I’m a slow hiker? We take our time on these hikes to stop often to chat as a group\, and we never leave anyone behind. Each person varies at their level of hiking experience (from beginner to expert) and we always go at a pace that works for everyone. \n\n\nIt’s so much more fun to do activities when you have friends who want to do them with you. \nWhy not start building your circle of friends now who want to experience new things? \nHere’s what some of the hikers are saying: \n“What a great group of women to spend my morning with! So appreciative to Emma for organizing this group hike and to all the fantastic women who I met today. This is just the beginning!” – R \n“Thank you\, Emma for organizing this hike. I really enjoyed meeting some lovely likeminded ladies while getting outside on this gorgeous morning. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone better.” – L \n\n\nWant to join us? Please register so I know to expect you. Registration capped at 10 ladies to keep the group manageable. \nIf you can’t attend this one but want an invite to the next\, please subscribe to this event page\, or subscribe to my newsletter here! I’ll do these monthly on different trails in the Vail Valley area.

SUMMARY:Ivywild Summer Solstice Sound Bath Concert
DESCRIPTION:The summer solstice marks the peak of light—the sun’s fullest expression—and an invitation for us to pause\, reflect\, and realign. Join us for a powerful two-hour sound bath concert at the historic Ivywild School to honor this sacred seasonal shift.\nBathed in the rich tones of crystal singing bowls\, gongs\, flutes\, and classical guitar\, you’ll be guided into a deep state of restoration and presence. Featuring the talents of Dr. Gigi Turner\, Dave Patrick\, and Steve Manzo\, this evening blends harmony and heart in celebration of nature’s brightest day.\nWhether you come to release\, recharge\, or simply soak in the moment\, this solstice journey will leave you feeling grounded and renewed.\nCan’t make it this day? We’re offering another chance to join us on Friday\, June 20th from 7:30 to 9:30 PM—same beautiful setting\, same soul-soothing sound. Both event tickets are available on our website.\n𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒 Dr. Gigi Turner\, PsyD\, founder and owner of Singing Bowls of the Rockies\, has created Colorado Springs’ premier sound bath sanctuary. Formerly a psychology professor and psychotherapist\, she combines her deep understanding of the mind with the healing power of sound. With over a decade of experience and an extensive collection of more than 100 singing bowls\, Gigi has guided thousands of participants through immersive and restorative sound journeys. Her expertise lies in crafting deeply soothing experiences that calm the nervous system\, promote profound relaxation\, and inspire inner healing.\nDave Patrick\, a lifelong musician and classical guitarist\, brings a rich melodic element to the sound bath experience. With decades of musical expertise\, Dave’s playing creates a soothing atmosphere that enhances the resonance of the bowls and instruments\, weaving harmonic textures that invite a sense of deep peace and reflection.\nSteve Manzo is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for sound and its healing potential. Influenced by his own experiences with sound baths\, Steve brings a unique musical perspective to each session\, offering layers of meditative frequencies. Currently studying film and game scoring\, his expertise in composition and music production allows him to craft immersive auditory landscapes. When he’s not accompanying Singing Bowls of the Rockies\, Steve connects with the local music scene\, works on personal projects\, and finds inspiration in the sounds of nature.\n𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐇? A sound bath is a meditative experience where people are “bathed” in sound waves produced by various overtone-emitting instruments\, including singing bowls\, gongs\, chimes\, and more. During a sound bath\, people lie down and listen to resonant sounds\, allowing their brain waves to slow and shift from a more active state to a more relaxed or dreamlike state. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation\, explore self-inquiry and self-discovery\, and help people let go of stress\, anxiety\, or other worries. A sound bath is typically a way of managing anxiety\, soothing the nervous system\, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body.\nOur sound baths may include the following instruments: over 70 Crystal Singing Bowls & Tibetan Singing Bowls (including 5 sets of Chakra Tuned Singing Bowls)\, Crystal Quartzophone Harp\, Zaphir Chimes\, Bar Chimes\, Flutes\, Rain Stick\, Buffalo Drum\, Ocean Drum\, Steel Tongue Drum\, Handpans\, Kalimba\, Tingshas and other traditional instruments from around the world.\n𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆: If possible\, we ask that you please bring your own blanket or bedsheet to cover our cushioned floor mats. No yoga mat needed! We can provide these items for you if you’re unable to bring them. Please dress comfortably\, bring water\, and eat beforehand.\nFor the best experience and to ensure a harmonious start for all participants\, we kindly request your timely arrival. Your punctuality is greatly appreciated.\n𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐒: $45 per person Ivywild School 1604 S Cascade Ave\, Colorado Springs\, CO 80905\n𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀: https://www.singingbowlsoftherockies.com/event-details/ivywild-summer-solstice-sound-bath-concert-1\n𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄\, 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃: If you have any serious medical condition (i.e. metal in the body/brain injury\, tinnitus\, epilepsy\, metal in the body\, etc…) make sure you get written permission from your doctor allowing your attendance of a live sound bath. The reason being that some conditions do not take well to the strong vibrations of sound baths. Additionally\, please inform Gigi of your condition before joining us at our sound bath\, thank you!
