SUMMARY:Ladies Hike - Sweetwater Ute Trail (40's & 50's)
DESCRIPTION:Let’s get together and meet some new female friends. This group social hike is for women between the ages of 40’s and 50’s.\n\n\n\nAre you looking for an outlet to meet new people?\nHave you fallen into the habit of staying home because your friends are too busy\, focused on other things?\nAre you wondering how to make friends as an adult – outside of the workplace?\n\n \nIf so\, come along with us on our monthly Ladies hikes! Connect with ladies at the same stage of life as you AND start building a community of local friends. \nThese hikes are meant for meeting new people and helping you find friends to hang out with on a regular basis. \nWe always have a great time looking at the views\, taking photos\, chatting\, and laughing together. Every hike brings a mix of new people\, which makes it a really welcoming group to be in. \nThis group social hike is for women between the ages of 40’s and 50’s. \n\n\nAbout this month’s hike: \nWe’ll hike from the Sweetwater Ute Trail. NOTE: We are going to be carpooling for this trail. Please register for more details. \nPlease arrive to the trail by 9:40 am – hike starts promptly at 9:45 am. If you are carpooling\, you will need to arrive earlier to meet us. Plan for 2 hours on the trail total. More details to follow in the confirmation email. \n\n\nIt can be a bit scary to put yourself out there in a new group of people. \nYou might be thinking the following: \nWhat if there’s nothing to talk about? We stop often to do ice breaker topics along the hike to give us good conversation starters! We switch up talking buddies along the way\, too\, so you have a chance to chat with many different ladies. \nWhat if I’m a slow hiker? We take our time on these hikes to stop often to chat as a group\, and we never leave anyone behind. Each person varies at their level of hiking experience (from beginner to expert) and we always go at a pace that works for everyone. \n\n\nIt’s so much more fun to do activities when you have friends who want to do them with you. \nWhy not start building your circle of friends now who want to experience new things? \nHere’s what some of the hikers are saying: \n“What a great group of women to spend my morning with! So appreciative to Emma for organizing this group hike and to all the fantastic women who I met today. This is just the beginning!” – R \n“Thank you\, Emma for organizing this hike. I really enjoyed meeting some lovely likeminded ladies while getting outside on this gorgeous morning. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone better.” – L \n\n\nWant to join us? Please register so I know to expect you. Registration capped at 10 ladies to keep the group manageable. \nIf you can’t attend this one but want an invite to the next\, please subscribe to this event page\, or subscribe to my newsletter here! I’ll do these monthly on different trails in the Vail Valley area.

SUMMARY:Art Journaling
DESCRIPTION:Get “unstuck” and let go of your emotional obstacles in a fun and creative way.\n\n\nDo you have a project you want to accomplish\, but when it comes down to it\, you just can’t find the motivation to do it? \nDoes it feel like every time you sit down to it\, you find yourself feeling blocked\, or focusing on other non-important things\, like organizing your computer folders or doing laundry? \nWhat if it’s not even a project at all\, but more of a general emotion? A feeling of being lost\, stuck\, lonely\, failing\, guilt\, afraid\, angry\, or bored? \nPerhaps you feel so beat down by it all\, that you just don’t know what to do to move forward. You might not have the energy or don’t even know how to learn the skills to get past it. \nWhat if I told you that you DO have the skills and the tools to move forward? You have everything you need right there inside of you. You just need something to help you uncover them. \nIf you are ready to move past these obstacles and get back on your path\, it’s time to try Emotional Art Journaling! \nHow it works: \nEmotional Art Journaling helps you to get out of your head and into your body. Your body is where your emotions really live. Sometimes we stress out so much\, looking for the next productivity or motivational tool to move us forward\, when really all we need is to look inside ourselves. We know the way out of it\, but we have to first figure out what’s causing the block. By working through each layer of feeling\, visualizing it on paper\, you start to recognize the real obstacle. Only then can you heal and move past it. \nWhat to expect: \nYou will be guided through a short meditation and several Art Journaling prompts to creatively let go of the things that are holding you back. During each prompt\, you’ll use the provided art tools (crayons and/or paint) to scribble your emotions on paper. You’ll be working through your specific problem\, but then also carving a path forward/solution for yourself. \nWhat you create will be for your eyes only. It isn’t meant to be a piece of real art\, so you do not need to worry if you aren’t a “creative person”. \nYou’ll also get to share and talk with the other participants before and after the journaling experience. Some snacks will be provided. \nIf you’ve been feeling an intense desire to transform your life\, and are looking for a tool to help you navigate that\, Emotional Art Journaling could be the next step on your journey. \nTake a second and imagine what life could feel like if you were able to move forward. Past the insecurities\, fear\, and general stuck-ness. Into a future where you feel content\, motivated\, and accomplished. \nIf you’re ready to make that a reality\, join us for this fun\, unique event! \nTickets are limited to 12 people to keep the group small\, conversational\, and comfortable. \nEvent sponsored by Fireside Properties\, Inc. \n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions: \nWhat if I’m not creative/artistic?: You don’t need to have any artistic skills at all for Art Journaling to work! It’s a way to visualize your emotions. It shouldn’t be pretty\, nor do you need to keep it afterwards. Rip it up or burn it if you want! It’s not meant to be hung in a museum. \nWhat if I don’t even know why I’m stuck?: As long as you have specific project or feeling/state of being to focus on\, you’ll be fine. This process guides you through many prompts to uncover thoughts and emotions in their energetic form. Eventually\, you’ll be able to tease out exactly why you’ve been stuck or feeling a certain way. \nWhat if I’m out of touch with my emotions?: Art Journaling is a great way to start getting in touch with your emotions! This process uses Reiki and other energy healing techniques to really get you focused in on your body and where things are lingering. You will be able to tune in to what you are actually feeling and get out of your head\, giving you the tools to use in your day-to-day life as well. \n\n\nTestimonials about Art Journaling: \n“It was a really nice reset. I’m feeling energized to prioritize myself and get back to playing with art.” (This participant was feeling stuck when it comes to being creative in work and her life.) \n“I loved the workshop and being in community with the other ladies. I know that the short-lived crying I experienced during the session felt very good to do and doing it with knowing others might see it felt good – I felt that I could just let it out. I also felt that I was really able to express how I was feeling internally with your guidance.” \n“I instantly felt more energy\, lightness\, and joy! It’s not a clarity about where I’m going or what I’m doing\, but in general I’m at ease with both of those things. It’s feeling more free within myself. Confident in who I am\, what I bring to the table and what I know. I’m feeling like a stronger\, better leader and I find myself leading leaders at work. I feel like the clouds in my mind have moved on. I’m making decisions with more ease\, I’m better at expressing my thoughts verbally\, I’ve been really confident professionally and personally\, found new ways to reconnect with friends which has been good for us both and in general I feel unencumbered.” \n\n\nAbout your Guide: \nEmma has dabbled in art and creative activities her entire life. As a Joy Guide\, she combines creative activities with other healing methods to help women find more joy and better friendships in their life. She hosts many online and local events (in Eagle County\, Colorado)\, geared towards building community and finding happiness. Emma is also a certified Reiki Master and a Clairvoyant.
