SUMMARY:Applause!
DESCRIPTION:What if you could experience a concert from the inside out? An informance pulls back the curtain on the music itself\, weaving live performance with real-time storytelling about the composers\, themes\, and moments that make each piece come alive. Join us for this FREE concert featuring Fountain Creek Neighborhood Honor Choir and CSCC Prelude! \nAbout the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale: The Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale inspires young people through exceptional music education and performance. For nearly 50 years\, the Chorale has provided a nurturing environment where students develop vocal excellence\, artistic expression\, and confidence—both on and off the stage. SUMMARY:In Harmony Festival Concert
DESCRIPTION:Young voices. One stage. A shared experience you won’t forget. \nThe Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale invites you to the In Harmony Festival Concert—a powerful celebration of music\, community\, and the transformative impact of singing together. \nOn April 22 at the Pikes Peak Center\, students from across the Pikes Peak region will come together for an evening that reflects months of dedication\, collaboration\, and growth. Representing schools from across the region and joined by members of the Children’s Chorale\, these young performers take the stage not just as individuals—but as a unified\, inspired ensemble. \nUnder the direction of Festival Conductor and Artistic Director Lori Bammesberger\, this culminating performance showcases the depth\, discipline\, and artistry that music education makes possible\, bringing together 10 area choirs in a special collaboration with the Ovation Orchestra of the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony. Guest conductor Kobe Achu\, Cadet First Class and Cadet Choir Director at the U.S. Air Force Academy\, will lead O America as part of the program. The concert features Amazing by Pinkzebra\, alongside America the Beautiful and O America\, honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary and lifting up a message of hope through the voices of the next generation. \nMore than a concert\, In Harmony is a reflection of what happens when young people are given the opportunity to grow together—through three days of workshops\, rehearsals\, and shared purpose. As a cornerstone outreach program of the Children’s Chorale\, the festival creates space for connection\, confidence\, and community across schools and backgrounds. \nJoin us for an evening that celebrates the art of singing—and the power of young voices to bring people together.

SUMMARY:Coming China Wars - of Geography and Near Space
DESCRIPTION:China’s government and population face an existential crisis. Some are of their own making\, such as population collapse. Some are geographical\, such as lack of resources and ocean access. Great nations in such a crisis will fight rather than fade quietly. They may attack Taiwan\, and they may attack Russia. This lesson covers the why and how this crisis is likely to play out with emphasis on the Near Space technology demonstrated by the Chinese airship overflight of the US in 2023. That asymmetric military advantage makes China more likely to win than most pundits understand. \nEd Herlik: MS in Political Science.
