This is the perfect time to write your first song\, or your 100th! With the help of our Mentors\, students will write an original song which they will perform on the last day of camp. Students will leave camp with a high quality live recording of their performance. No musical experience necessary. Do you love listening to groups like Pentatonix\, Voctave\, VoicePlay or love the movie Pitch Perfect? If so\, A Capella camp is the place for you! A capella camp will bring singers together as an ensemble to work on developing vocal skills in contemporary\, pop\, and jazz styles with no instrumental accompaniment. Singers will improve their abilities to sing in harmony while also learning the art of vocal percussion (beatboxing)\, and how to arrange songs for the group\, analyze lyrics\, and use microphones to effectively amplify and blend their voices as an ensemble. The camp will conclude with a performance showcasing the a capella skills you have gained during the week as a vocal ensemble.
