Originally scheduled to end Sunday\, Sept. 29\, the glowing lanterns\, the larger-than-life sculptures lit from within\, will continue from Wednesday\, Oct. 2 through Saturday\, Oct. 5. That’s a week to walk through the crystal forest\, take selfies with a dragon\, play on a drum set\, and talk with the parakeets Sip on crafted cocktails\, dance under the stars\, and immerse yourself in the glow of larger-than-life lanterns featuring Colorado wildlife unicorns\, radiant columbines\, towering bears\, and a majestic dragon. It’s an unforgettable evening of magic and celebration.

DESCRIPTION:Cottonwood Center for the Arts is pleased to announce an invitational call for the month of October featuring the works of Sophia Rose\, Joshua Williams\, Doug Mansfield\, Darla Slee\, Nitra Olsen\, Kelly Gilleran\, and Caleb Butcher: BUMP IN THE NIGHT. \nWe asked these artists to create works in homage to the weird and wild. They have created contemporary interpretations of classic horror tropes\, monsters and beasts\, hauntings and Lovecraftian visions of what lies beyond the borders of normalcy. Mediums range across ceramics\, metalworking\, fiber\, painting\, drawing\, mixed media assemblage and more\, incorporating a notably broad variety of styles. \n  \nCome experience this exhibit and enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8 pm\, and all month during normal business hours.
