May the 4th Be With You: Intro to Oil Landscape Painting

We are excited to announce the new collaboration between Art from Early and Sweetwater Flower Market for an introduction to oil paint and landscape art. Stephen will break down color theory and other skills as he guides you through painting atmospheric perspective (a visual effect that makes distant objects look hazy, bluish, and less detailed than nearby ones).

In honor of May the 4th be with you, participants will have the option of adding a Star Wars twist to their painting.

$75/ticket + taxes and EventBrite fees

– An apron, easel, brushes and other supplies to use during the class.

Instructor Bio: Stephen Early, from Art from Early, is an oil painter and pencil artist specializing in family portraiture, commissioned oil paintings, and illustrations. He believes art is for everyone and has a passion for sparking interest in painting and offering skills to every day people.

In Stephen’s own words: “My gallery of choice is in the homes of those I’m fortunate to work with. When most people think of fine art they think of giant paintings in immaculate frames roped off in beautiful upscale galleries. While that sounds like a dream come true for any artist, I find far more meaning in connecting with people on a personal level.
