Native Plants for Birds at Chatfield - Fri. 6/14; 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
In this class, we will discuss how native plants benefit birds, and which plants to plant to attract birds to your yard. Before the class, we'll bird the gardens and trails around the Audubon Center, and then come inside to learn more about bird-friendly natives for your landscape and finish the class with a tour of the native gardens. Trainer: Irene Shonle is the Extension Director for Gilpin County and is the Vice President of the Colorado Native Plant Society. She maintains a native plant demonstration garden at the Gilpin Extension Office and uses them extensively in her own garden.
