Family Members & Friends of Suicide Attempt Survivors/Individuals with Suicidal Thoughts or a Chronic Mental Health
Group 4F (Fortifying Families and Forming Friendships): Support for adult family members and friends of suicide attempt survivors and individuals with ongoing suicidal ideation or a chronic mental health condition. Group 4F is a free monthly peer-facilitated support group led by a trained facilitator whose role in the group is to help guide the flow of discussion and not to diagnose or treat members of the group. This group is not a substitute for medical treatment or professional therapy, and a list of local resources is available at every meeting. In the event of an emergency, please dial 911 or visit your local crisis center or nearest emergency room. Group 4F meets from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm on the last Sunday each month at the Sheridan Library*. *The granting of permission by the Arapahoe Library District to use library facilities does not constitute endorsement by the Library District staff or Board of Trustees. FAQs Are there minimum age requirements for the group? The minimum age for the group is 18. A group for teens may be available in the future. Please contact the facilitator Charlotte Tankersley at (720) 745-9252 if you are interested in joining and are under 18 (or have a teen under 18 that would like to join). Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? This isn't necessary. You don't even have to register or RSVP before coming! Just show up. The group only has tickets listed because they're required to list the event on Eventbrite. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Group facilitator Charlotte Tankersley can be contacted at (720) 745-9252 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or if you have any questions about the group, it's meeting location or if you need local resources before you attend your first meeting.
